Teacher shortages have been challenging the education sector across the globe, and Canada is no exception. Canadian provinces and territories are taking action to address these teacher shortages, but these actions are often reactionary and do not adequately leverage the powerful data that is available to policymakers to guide decision-making.
KPMG will present a methodology to quantify teacher shortages at the provincial level and forecast the evolution of these shortages over time. By developing a deep understanding of the drivers of labour market demand and supply, this approach can enable the proactive development of strategies to ensure sustainable teacher supply.
This is a virtual event from 12pm-1pm MST on January 23. Please register through Eventbrite. The link for this Zoom event will be sent on the morning of the event to the email address provided while registering in Eventbrite.
