Krystle Wittevrongel is a results-driven leader and policy expert with over a decade of public policy experience. Currently serving as Director of Research at the Montreal Economic Institute, she manages a high-performing research team while also conducting in-depth analysis on national policy issues. She has held a number of other positions at the MEI, including helping to build the institute’s Calgary office. Prior to this, she worked at the School of Public Policy at the University of Calgary, where she specialized in health policy research and published articles in several specialized academic journals.
Krystle holds a Master of Public Policy and a Master of Science from the University of Calgary. Her graduate work primarily focused on health policy, including policy surrounding pediatric concussion and subsequent healthcare utilization. Additionally, her undergraduate field studies in Ecuador and Ghana contributed to her understanding of global policy challenges, which enriched her perspective on public policy issues in the Canadian context.
Krystle also contributes regularly to public policy conversations through op-eds, articles, and media appearances.
