Canada’s economy has stumbled in recent quarters and near term prospects remain weak. The landscape varies across the country. Alberta’s economy has also slowed amid higher interest rates, but is benefiting from new market access, firm oil prices and rapid migration. Nonetheless, the outlook is clouded by uncertainties such as the upcoming US election, droughts, commodity prices, the transition to net zero, among others. Mark Parsons, Chief Economist at ATB Financial, will be diving into these and other issues affecting Alberta’s outlook at the current juncture.
May 15, 2024 | Fargos Capilano, 5804 Terrace Road NW, Edmonton | Event Starts at 6:15pm, but please come early (venue opens at 5:30pm) to secure a seat, and purchase food and drinks.
